I went out to dinner last night with my usual crew. Per Maddy's request, we got Chinese. My fortune cookie was interesting because it said family would be a priority this year--aren't they always? It's a good thing I'm not superstitious or I'd spend a lot of time over-analyzing what that means. As it stands, the cookie was delicious.

After countless cups of Tim Horton's coffee over the past few weeks, I finally won something as part of the Rrroll Up The Rim To Win promotion. I won a donut! Just what I need as I begin my diet of no junk food. Still--I won!

I took Nick to the groomer yesterday, and when I went to bring him home, the groomer told me a story about how she saw on the news that the oldest dog in the world was a dachshund. How encouraging! I hope Nick sets the new record! The oldest dog ate macaroni and cheese instead of dog food--should I be feeding Nick Kraft instead of Purina?
