January catch up: Yesterday was my birthday, and this is what my kind coworker made for me. It's supposed to be honoring birthday # 33. I love it. :)

I came to work this morning and found my cube decorated with balloons and streamers. Then around lunch time, a bunch of my recently displaced coworkers showed up with cupcakes, a card loaded with cash(!), some gifts, and hugs. Super duper sweet. I'm feeling mighty loved this year! Oh, my nickname at work is T-Bone (thanks Wes/Adam!), hence the name on the envelope.

The birthday boy

Yesterday was my birthday. This is what being the birthday boy gets you. Your favorite restaurant brings back your favorite dish as a special, and they stick a candle in it. AND you get a free brownie.

Two weeks after my birthday, and the folks in my office surprised me with a cake! It sorta changed shape en route to the office, but it was delicious and HUGE! My cube was quite busy with greedy coworkers. I loved it and love their thoughtfulness. xoxo

It's my birthday and I'm the guy with balloons in my cube. I share a floor with a very festive department and I commented to my coworkers a while back that I hope I get balloons like that one day. What did they do? They got me balloons for all the world to see. They also got me a card, donuts, cake, and even money. I commented to my lunch buddy how much I like being recognized and she responded by saying that as long as we work together she'll always care about me. How nice! I'm a lucky guy. I'm feeling the love at work today. I've never had this experience at work before. It's nice.
